The fact that Wim Wenders is in this film will probably get the most words from reviewers, but Gary Marlowe’s soundtrack for Everything Will Change, a “futuristic documentary fairytale about biodiversity” should not be overlooked. After seeing a clip of the movie online and hunting down director Marten Persiel to pry open the door, Marlowe gathered vintage classics like an Arp Solina and an Oberheim OB-8 alongside newer instruments from Arturia and Modal Electronics to craft his wonderfully cinematic sonic accompaniment. Filled with 60s/70s sci-fi synth sounds along with a few moments of 80s mall-ripe interludes, Marlowe’s work has an overall synth-fi sound that complements the theme of the movie well, a score to a future that will hopefully never arrive.
