Italian label Quindi Records keep their hot streak going this year with the second album by UK-based audio/visual trio Plants Heal. The trio jammed out in the studio for a couple of days and the resulting recording offers a vibrant mix of tight drumming with driving synths. The band uses live visuals that work in conjunction with the music, each aspect informing the other, and the music is energetic and powerful with elements of techno, German underground, trip hop and ambient, among other styles. Both rhythmically engaging and artistically adventurous, the band taps into their deep-rooted influences while coming up with their own cool sound.
