The Catwalk Pressure Sensor is a passive-ish resistor that takes up no HP by attaching to your Eurorack system over top of existing modules, where they rise above the faceplates of the modules they're over top of so there's no contact with the modules below (other than the screw holes where the standoffs are). The mounting holes span about 70mm and this fits perfectly over the top of a 14HP module and a neighboring module (or a similar sized space).
Feed the input of the Catwalk Pressure Sensor some voltage from an offset, LFO, or envelope, and patch the Output to a VCA or a CV input of another module you wish to control, and you have an on/off switch with pressure control via your finger! This pairs very well with the Catwalk Scratch Pad keyboard.
These are very easy to build, just solder the two jacks into place on the circuit PCB, feed the FSR (force sensitive resistor) through the slot on the top faceplate (pay attention to the direction of the faceplate!), carefully solder the FSR tabs into the circuit board, peel and stick the FSR onto the faceplate, put on the faceplate (the FSR plastic will reshape to fit between the jacks), attach the nuts to the jacks, and away you go! Faceplate is black and is reversable: one side has cat paw graphics, the other is plain black.
Note: These come with M3 screws and standoffs.
